Oven Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 170°F (76°C) or its lowest setting.
  2. Line a baking sheet with a silicone baking mat.
  3. Blend blueberries, sugar, and lemon juice until smooth.
  4. Spread mixture into a 9x11-inch (22x28 cm) rectangle.
  5. Bake for 3–5 hours until no longer tacky but still flexible.
  6. Cut into nine 1-inch (2.5 cm) strips. Roll and store.

Dehydrator Instructions (Alternate Method)

  1. Prepare puree as above (blend berries, sugar, lemon juice).
  2. Line dehydrator fruit leather trays or trays with silicone sheets.
  3. Spread mixture evenly about ⅛ inch thick.
  4. Set dehydrator to 135°F (57°C).
  5. Dry for 4 to 6 hours, checking periodically. Leather is done when tack-free and peels cleanly.
  6. Let cool, cut into strips, and roll up. Store airtight up to 4 weeks.
